Eames
Hang-It-All
Designed by Charles and Ray Eames in 1953 using the same wire-welding techniques developed for their shell chair bases. Originally marketed as a children's room accessory, outgrew that context quickly.
- 14 welded steel rods, 8 large and 6 small turned maple balls
- Ray Eames chose the original multicolor palette; walnut and white also available
- Hooks spaced at irregular intervals to prevent uniform-row monotony
- Produced by Herman Miller, construction unchanged since 1953
- 14⅝" H × 19¾" W × 6⅜" D
